Well, this is the end of an era. No, that sounds a bit silly...
I'm making room for a new experience. I've been exploring the unmaterialistic side of life lately. What do I need, what is holding me back, what is bringing me down?
Anyway, the motorcycle sold today.
I actually had 2 people looking at it at the same time. That's a bit awkward, truth be told. But it did take away from anyone trying to weasle on the price!
(in other news, wow, am loving these new headphones, wow! ... )
So, the numbers then. The bike had 3500 KM showing on it when I bought it in April 2012. It had a bit over 30,000 KM today when I signed the title over. So 26,500 KMs in 14 months. Not too bad for a motorcycle. And most of those really were in 2 or 3 months!
I feel like I got my money's worth from the bike, and from the experience.
And I sold it for an even $1000. I'm satisfied with that.
The guy who bought it has been to Patagonia on a motorcycle, and is planning another trip. So I don't feel bad at all. I really would have hated for the bike to be sold for parts. That would just be wrong. So this is good.
I'll buy another motorcycle, eventually. And it will very likely be another KLR-650. Stay Tuned!
